In the third, Stephan Vigier caught Redmann out of the net and out of position for a goal for South Carolina's first lead of the game at 4-3. That lead lasted just 1 minute and 10 seconds before Traversa banged in Ben Lake's centering pass for his hat trick and 12th goal of the season, tying the game at 4.

In the overtime period, Traversa was in on the scoring again, sliding a beautiful centering pass out of the left corner to the right circle where Poulin launched a one-timer that beat Stingray's goaltender Vitek Vanacek.
