MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Norfolk Admirals' Alexis Loiseau scored with 2:28 to play in overtime to defeat the Manchester Monarchs 3-2 Saturday night at Verizon Wireless Arena.

Dean Ouellet came up with his third goal as an Admiral when he camped in front of Manchester goalie Colin Stevens. Captain Jordan Hill powered a shot from the left point, which Stevens knocked down. Ouellet stuffed the loose puck underneath Stevens' stick at 13:33 of the opening period for the first goal of the contest.

With 1:16 remaining in the period, Devin Mantha tallied his third goal with Norfolk as well. Mantha raced through the neutral zone and dropped the puck to Scott Allen at the left point. Allen wound and fired and Mantha, continuing towards the net, dropped his stick blade and barely tipped the shot to tuck it just inside the far post.

The 2-0 advantage lasted late into the third, but Joe Diamond cut the lead in half with a redirection in front from a Matt McKenzie feed along the right wing. Diamond beat Ty Rimmer to ruin the shutout with 2:52 left in regulation.

Manchester tied the game with only 26.3 seconds left on a shot from Michael Boivin from the point. Several bodies in front screened Rimmer, and the seeing-eye shot found its way into the top shelf to knot the score at 2-2 forcing overtime.

In the extra skate, Admirals defenseman Gabriel Verpaelst carried the puck across the Manchester blue line and dished left to Alexis Loiseau. Loiseau edged the defender slipped a backhander past Stevens with 2:28 to play in overtime, sealing Norfolk's 3-2 victory and its sixth win in the past eight games.

Ty Rimmer made 37 saves on 39 shots for the Admirals while Colin Stevens turned away 21 of the Admirals' 24 attempts. Both teams went scoreless on three power plays.
