October 14, 2017 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Waterloo Black Hawks News Release

The Dubuque Fighting Saints and Waterloo Black Hawks exchanged weekend shutouts during a home-and-home series, with the Saints edging the Black Hawks 1-0 at Young Arena Saturday. Waterloo had won 2-0 on Friday in Dubuque. Cole Guttman recorded the game's only goal during a power play 2:27 into the third. Set up for a quick shot, the puck came off of the end of his stick, fluttering over Jared Moe, who was expecting the disc to arrive more promptly.

Jaxon Castor stopped all 26 Black Hawks shots, including 13 in the second period, helping to turn away a five-minute power play after Roman Kinal was banished for cross checking.

Moe made 22 saves.

The Hawks are on the road next weekend visiting the Siouxland, traveling to Sioux City to face the Musketeers on Friday and meeting the Sioux Falls Stampede on Saturday.
