THIS WEEK

The Pirates carry a two game winning streak and a 15-18-3-4 record entering this week's games.

NEXT HOME GAME: Saturday, January 15th vs. LOWELL 7:05 p.m.- Mini stick giveway courtesy of Time Warner Digital Phone. The first 3,000 kids through the turnstiles will receive a Portland Pirates/Time Warner Digital Cable mini stick.

Sunday, January 16th vs. MANCHESTER at 4:05 p.m.- Support STRIVE U and the Pirates by ordering your tickets for this game with Noel Thompson at 828-4665 ext. 304.

Boyd Gordon has a five game point scoring streak heading into this weekend's games.

The 8th annual "Evening with the Pirates" presented by Key Bank will take place on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at 5:30 p.m. at The Stadium Restaurant and Sports Bar. The evening will include silent and live auctions, entertainment with comedian Christine O'Leary, dancing, a special fashion show and food and beverages. This year's event will benefit the Portland Pirates Foundation and the Children's Museum of Maine.

Thompson is a student from STRIVE U and works as an Account Executive with the Pirates. The program is part of STRIVE U, which provides opportunities for young adults with developmental disabilities to make an impact in the community by performing jobs with local employers to gain real world skills.

Saturday, 1/22 vs. Worcester 7:05 p.m. - VIP, Parts, Tires and Service Night! The 6,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Portland Pirates/VIP t-shirt.

Saturday, 1/29 vs. Providence 7:05 p.m.- Dunkin Donuts Night! The first 2,500 fans will receive a Dunkin Donuts travel mug.

Friday, 2/4 vs. Lowell 7:05 p.m.- A limited number of fans attending the game will receive a Pirates water bottle courtesy of State Farm Insurance. Don't miss the first intermission, which will feature a $25,000 Dash for Cash sponsored by WBLM.

IN THE COMMUNITY

On Tuesday, January 11th, the Pirates will present their second Goals for Success program of the year. Pirates players will be speaking at the Coffin School in Brunswick, ME from 1:30-2:30p.m.

Be sure to meet up with the Pirates at Hannaford Supermarkets at the following locations:

Saturday, January 15th, 1:00-2:00 p.m. in Standish, ME and Saturday, January 22nd, 1:00-2:00 p.m. in Auburn, ME

Saturday January 22nd, 12:30-2:00 p.m. in Westbrook, ME with the WBLM Street Team.

Starting on January 15th Friendly's will be selling "Cones for Kids" coupon books at Pirates games help to raise money for Easter Seals. As part of the Pirates involvement, join Pirates players at the Friendly's location at the Maine Mall on January 29th 1:00-2:00p.m. as they will be the "Celebrity Scoopers" for the day. The coupon books and "Cones for Kids" campaign runs through February 13, 2005.

Jared Aulin scored two goals and Maxime Ouellet made 38 saves against the Bruins.

Sunday, January 9th vs. Springfield (2-1 W)

Jakub Klepis scored the game-winning goal and Maxime Ouellet made 17 saves.
