Pittsburgh Penguins Recall RW Eric Meloche from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Pittsburgh Penguins today recalled forward Eric Meloche from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The announcement was made by Penguins' General Manager Craig Patrick.

Meloche, 26, has played in 58 games this season for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording 29 points (12+17) and 93 penalty minutes.

The 5'10", 197-pound native of Montreal, Quebec was drafted by the Penguins in the seventh round (186th overall) of the 1996 Entry Draft. Meloche played in 23 games with Pittsburgh last season, recording one assist and eight penalty minutes.

He is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Penguins visit the Ottawa Senators (7 PM start).
