Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has acquired goaltender Wade Flaherty from the Florida Panthers organization in exchange for Admirals' defenseman Pascal Trepanier. Flaherty will join former Admirals' netminders Tomas Vokoun and Jan Lasak in Nashville.

Trepanier was the Admirals leading scorer among defensemen with 24 points (9g-15a) in 52 games played. He played one game for the Predators in October and was assigned to the Admirals October 23rd. The Gaspe, Quebec native missed seven games due to injury. Trepanier has scored 34 points (12g-22a) in 229 National Hockey League games with Nashville, Anaheim and Colorado. The Predators signed Trepanier as a free agent July 16, 2002.

Flaherty played in 30 games with the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) and was 11-13-5 with a 2.88 goals-against-average and .914 save percentage. The 1988 ninth round draft pick of the Buffalo Sabres has logged just under 6000 minutes in 119 NHL games with four different teams and is 27-55-9 with a 3.50 goals-against-average in those games.

The Admirals take on the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks tonight at 6:12 at the Bradley Center.
