
Admirals slip past Ducks in OT

MILWAUKEE, WI - Darren Haydar scored 35 seconds into overtime to lift the Milwaukee Admirals past the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, 2-1, Sunday at the Bradley Center.
Haydar tallied his team-leading 26th goal of the season and seventh game-winner with assists from Wyatt Smith and Jason Beckett.
Denny Lambert scored 3:43 into the third period for the Admirals, tying the game at 1-1 for the Admirals, who won for the first time in six tries against Cincinnati (1-2-3-0).
Brian Finley, the sixth overall pick in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft by Nashville, stopped 22 of the 23 shots he faced to earn his seventh victory of the season.
Cam Severson notched the lone goal for Cincinnati, which picked up a point for the ninth time in its last 10 games with the overtime loss.
Jean-Francois Damphousse, making his third consecutive start, made 26 saves in the losing effort.
The Ducks, who trail Utah by six points for the 10th and final Western Conference Calder Cup playoff seed, play Wednesday at Chicago.
