Pitton Gets the Call to the IceCaps

BRAMPTON, ONTARIO - The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the St. John's IceCaps and Montreal Canadiens announce today that goaltender Bryan Pitton has signed a Professional Tryout Contract (PTO) and has been recalled to the American Hockey League's St. John's IceCaps.

Pitton, 28, has appeared in 17 AHL games throughout his professional career in three separate stints with the Springfield Falcons and Oklahoma City Barons between the 2007-08 and 2010-11 seasons.

The Brampton native has spent the majority of his career in the ECHL, where he has put up impressive numbers between the 2008-09 and 2015-16 seasons. In 128 games played with the Beast, Bakersfield Condors and Stockton Thunder, he has collected a 3.17 goals against average and a stellar .900 save percentage.

Pitton will join the IceCaps for their season-opening weekend, which kicks off on the road on Friday, October 14 against the Hartford WolfPack.

The Beast kick off their season on Saturday, October 15 as they head to WesBanco Arena to face the reigning ECHL Eastern Conference champs, the Wheeling Nailers.
