BRAMPTON, ON - The Brampton Beast, ECHL affiliate of the St. John's IceCaps and Montreal Canadiens, announce today that forward Luke Pither has been released from his Professional Tryout Contract (PTO) with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch and will be returning to the Beast lineup.

Pither, 26, suited up for a single game with the Crunch and did not record a point. This wasn't the only callup Pither has earned this season. He has suited up for six games with the Beast's AHL parent club, the St. John's IceCaps and recorded three assists.

With the Beast this season, Pither has been one of the team's most dependable forwards. In 16 games played in the ECHL this season, the Burketon, Ontario native notched eight goals and added five assists for 13 points, good for the sixth best point total on the Beast.

Pither will be in the lineup for the Beast this week as the club heads to Wheeling to take on the Nailers on December 31 and on January 2. The Beast return to the Powerade Centre on January 9 to host the Kalamazoo Wings art 7:15 PM. Single game tickets are now available, starting at $16.25.
