West Michigan Whitecaps News Release
CLINTON, IA - Saturday's scheduled double header between the West Michigan Whitecaps and Clinton LumberKings will feature a quartet of pitchers who have not seen action in more at least a week.
LHP Derek Holland has not been on the mound since April 4 when Clinton hosted a double header against Cedar Rapids. He will start game one for the LumberKings against LHP Manny Miguelez, who like Clinton's Neftali Perez has not pitched since last Saturday.
The right handed Perez will face West Michigan RHP Lauren Gagnier in game two.
First pitch for game one is slated for 5:00 p.m. EDT and the Davenport University Career Startup Show will begin at 4:50 p.m. on 1340 AM WBBL, at wbbl.com and the games will available to stations on the Whitecaps Radio Network.
Sunday's pitching match up will feature LHP Jon Kibler for the Whitecaps against Clinton RHP Kennil Gomez.
