Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will begin a two-game set with the Pawtucket Red Sox on Thursday night at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.

RHP Jake Thompson (0-1, 1.80) gets the ball for the Pigs in the series opener. Thompson was dealt the tough-luck loss on Friday at Syracuse when he gave up two runs (one earned) on two hits while walking two and fanning five in five innings of work. The right-hander was originally acquired by the Phillies as part of the deal that sent Cole Hamels to Texas last summer.

RHP Sean O'Sullivan (0-1, 3.86) will be on the bump for the PawSox on Thursday night. O'Sullivan got the loss on Thursday vs. Buffalo after allowing three runs on six hits to go along with eight strikeouts in 7.0 IP. The San Diego, Calif. native spent parts of two seasons with the IronPigs from 2014-15.

OF David Lough became the first IronPig to have a four-hit game this season when he went 4-6 on Wednesday afternoon at Rochester.

The first 3,000 fans 18 and older will receive an Opening Night fleece blanket giveaway presented by Service Electric. There is also an extended Happy Hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
