
Nick Swisher to Play for RailRiders

Moosic, Pa. - The New York Yankees announced the signing of infielder Nick Swisher to a Minor League deal on Thursday. Swisher was assigned to the SWB RailRiders and will make his first start tonight at PNC Field. He is scheduled to play at first base and hit sixth in the batting order.
The team begins an eight-game homestand tonight with a 6:35 p.m. first pitch against the Syracuse Chiefs (Washington Nationals). SWB right-hander Tyler Cloyd (0-0, 2.25) will face fellow righty Taylor Jordan (0-0, 1.80). The Thirsty Thursday will feature $1 Bud Lights and Pepsi products.
