Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs host their 2016 Home Opener at Coca-Cola Park as they begin a six-game, North Division homestand with Game 1 of a two-game series against the Pawtucket Red Sox (2-5)... Despite a heart-wrenching, 7-6 walk-off loss in Rochester yesterday, the Pigs still took the series with the Red Wings, 2-1... The Red Sox -- Boston's top affiliate -- lost 1-0 yesterday against Scranton/WB and were swept by the RailRiders in the three-game, home series. As a result, the Paw Sox have now lost four games in a row.
RHP Jake Thompson (0-1, 1.80) will start for LHV against former IronPigs RHP Sean O'Sullivan (0-1, 3.86).
Tonight features an Opening Night Fleece Blanket Giveaway, presented by Service Electric... First-Pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
