Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Indianapolis Indians will play the third game of their four game series on Saturday night at 6:35 p.m. from Coca-Cola Park.
LHP Adam Morgan (0-5, 5.33) gets the ball for the Pigs. Last time out, Morgan got tagged for six runs on 10 hits over five innings of work and was dealt the loss on May 29 at Charlotte. Over his last 4 GS, the University of Alabama product is 0-1 with an 8.53 ERA. Morgan got a no-decision against the Indians back on May 2 at Victory Field when he surrendered three runs on 10 hits while walking one over six innings of work.
RHP Chris Volstad (3-2, 4.25) will be on the bump for Indianapolis Saturday night. Volstad took the loss on Monday vs. Buffalo after giving up six runs on 10 hits to go along with two walks and a strikeout in 5.0 IP. Saturday marks the second start of the year for the right-hander against the IronPigs. Like his counterpart Morgan, he also got a no-decision on May 2 after giving up five runs (four earned) on seven hits in six innings of work.
With a 2-4 performance on Friday night, Pigs INF Jayson Nix has now hit safely in three of his last four games. In that time, the Dallas native is hitting .385 (5-13)-2-2 to go along with four runs scored.
The first 3,000 fans 18 and older will receive an IronPigs USA Cap presented by Nacci Printing. The cap celebrates the start of the Women's World Cup. There is also a postgame concert in the Bud Light Trough for one hour after the final out.
