
Phillips Records First Pro Goal and Multi-Point Game in Heat Win

STOCKTON, CALIF. - Matthew Phillips scores his first pro goal and records his first pro multi-point effort as the Heat took down the Ontario Reign 5-1 on Friday at Stockton Arena. The Heat got off to as good of a start as they have all season long with Alan Quine scoring for the Heat in the opening moments of the game. After dominating possession and shots, the Heat would break through again before the final buzzer thanks to Phillips to make it 2-0 after one period of play. The Heat kept things going in the second thanks to Oliver Kylington who backhanded a shot past Ontario goalie Cal Petersen before the visitors would get on the board with a shorthanded goal midway through the contest. Kylington would add his second goal of the night and third point of the evening in the third period, as would Quine as the Heat cruised to the 5-1 victory.
The Heat head out on a three-game road trip starting on Sunday against the Reign at 3:00 p.m. followed by the first two games of the season in Colorado against the Eagles on Tuesday and Wednesday, both games at 6:05 p.m. PST. Fans can catch the road games live on AHLTV or can watch the games at Channel Brewing Co. in Downtown Stockton. The team is set to return home on Friday, November 16 against the Tucson Roadrunners at Stockton Arena. It's another Fry Day of the season, presented by Golden State Restaurant Group McDonald's.
