SIOUX CITY, Iowa. - The Sioux Falls Pheasants bats went quiet on Saturday night in a 4-2 loss to the Sioux City Explorers in Sioux City. The three-game series is now even at one game apiece.

He brought home Dustin Jones, who led off with a double and reached third on Gus Milner's misplay in right field. The Explorers added a second run in the fourth on Ryan Priddy's groundout.
Kevin Carby knocked in a run for the Pheasants with a two-out double in the fifth inning, shaving the Explorer lead to 2-1. But Sioux City responded with two runs in the bottom of the fifth on Wally Backman Jr.'s RBI-single and a passed ball.
Sioux City starter Ty Marotz (2-1) kept the Pheasants at bay over seven innings in his second win, limiting the Pheasants to six hits. He walked one and struck out four.
