Pheasants Begin "ZOOper" Series with Fargo Tonight

SIOUX FALLS - The Sioux Falls Pheasants begin a three-game home series with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks tonight, and its significance has certainly "inflated."

Fans will see some larger-than-life celebrities at Sioux Falls Stadium on Tuesday - literally. The nationally-reknowned ZOOperstars! will be at Sioux Falls Stadium on Tuesday, July 12, as the Pheasants take on the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. The ZOOperstars! will bring out crazy, inflatable characters like Harry Canary, Alex Frogriguez, Manatee Ramirez, Ichiroach Suzuki and Cow Ripken Jr. Their hilarious routines will be performed throughout the game and entertain Pheasants fans of all ages.

The ZOOperstars! have appeared at major and minor league baseball games across the country and at sporting events around the world. Their shows have been highlighted recently in several national media outlets, including CNN and ESPN.

The Pheasants are looking to stay in the hunt for a postseason spot and find themselves just two games behind the third-place Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. The series begins tonight and launches a string of 13 consecutive games for the Pheasants against division opponents. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.

Tuesday is also a Double Play Tuesday, so fans can purchase tickets 2-for-1! First pitch is at 7:05 p.m., and gates open at 6 p.m.

Wednesday's game is Ladies Night. Ladies of all ages can purchase a ticket for just $5. Plus, it is Wine Wednesday. Cask & Cork Distributing will provide free wine samples throughout the evening.

The games on Tuesday and Wednesday - July 12 and 13 - will be televised live on Midco Sports Net. All games will be broadcast as well on Sioux Falls Sports Radio 1230-AM KWSN and www.kwsn.com.
