UPCOMING OPPONENTS

Wednesday, Dec. 13 - Phantoms at Hartford, 7:00: Philadelphia heads to Connecticut to visit the Hartford Wolf Pack (New York Rangers) in just its second mid-week game of the season. The Wolf Pack start the week with a record of 10-12-1-0 for 21 points, which puts them seventh in the Atlantic Division. Rookie winger Ryan Callahan has been setting the pace for Hartford with 17 goals and seven assists for 24 points in 21 games.

Friday, Dec. 15 - Phantoms vs. Hershey, 7:05: The Bears pay their second of six scheduled visits to Philadelphia this season when they roll in for a Friday night tilt. Hershey starts the league atop the AHL standings with an overall record of 17-3-3-3 for 40 points. Alexandre Giroux leads the Bears and is tied for sixth in the league in scoring with 20 goals and 11 assists for 31 points.

Saturday, Dec. 16 - Phantoms at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, 7:05: The Phantoms head up the Northeast Extension into the mountains for a meeting with the Penguins at Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza. While Hershey is the league's top team heading into the week, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton starts out just one point behind at 39 points on the strength of an 18-4-1-2 record. Jonathan Filewich leads the way for the Baby Pens with 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points in 25 games.

Sunday, Dec. 17 - Phantoms vs. Toronto, 5:05: The two organizations with their AHL affiliates in the same town meet when the Phantoms take on the Marlies (Toronto Maple Leafs). Erik Westrum is Toronto's leading scorer with nine goals and 17 assists for 26 points in 28 games. The Marlies start the week 10-14-2-2 for 24 points, which puts them sixth in the North Division.

CALDER CUP JERSEY AUCTION WRAPS UP THURSDAY

The Phantoms are continuing their holiday auction of some of the most interesting jerseys in the franchise's history. A set of 29 white jerseys from the 2004-05 Calder Cup championship season is now up for bids in The Phantoms Attic, the club's online eBay store. Jerseys from Mike Richards, Jeff Carter, Neil Little, Antero Niittymaki, and many more are available. The auction ends on Thursday and can be accessed through the Phantoms website, www.phantomshockey.com.

SANTA SACKS GOING FAST

The 2006 Phantoms Santa Sacks are stil available for your favorite hockey fan, but quantities are limited! For just $70, Santa Sacks include four tickets to a January Phantoms game and a special Phantoms stick signed by one of eight Phantoms alumni - Mike Richards, Jeff Carter, Antero Niitymaki, Ben Eager, Joni Pitkanen, Freddy Meyer, R.J. WIN CASH THIS FRIDAY

PHANTOMS IN PURPLE

Also this Friday, the Phantoms will be clad in their purple jerseys for the game with Hershey. It'll be the second of nine occasions this season that Philadelphia will wear its third sweater.

CHUCK-A-PUCK TO DEBUT FRIDAY

Also on Friday, Phantoms Charities will debut its Chuck O' Puck promotion in the second intermission. The Phantoms Wives are sponsoring the event, which will happen at every Friday game over the rest of the season. Pucks are $2 apiece or three for $5, and fans can use their skill to toss those pucks on the ice in the second intermission. The puck closest to the target will win half of the monies raised on the evening, while the other half will go to Phantoms Charities.

PHANTOMS PLATOON GREETED

On Saturday in Syracuse, members of the Phantoms Platoon in Afghanistan heard from their families via the B2 Networks. Several family members attended the games and sent greetings over the connection during the intermission. Visit Phantomshockey.com for more information about the Phantoms Platoon.

PHANTOMS NOTABLES

Matt Ellison's three-point night (1G, 2A) on Friday night came on his 23rd birthday. He was recalled by the Flyers this morning... The upcoming week is Philadelphia's first four-in-five week of the season. It's also just the second mid-week game of the season for the Phantoms, but is the first of six over the next eight weeks.

CATCH WEDNESDAY'S GAME ON 610WIP.COM

Wednesday's game at Hartford can be heard live on WIP's Internet audio stream at www.610WIP.com. Mike Thornton will have the call of the game on the WIP stream, as well as on the B2 Networks.
