NORFOLK, Va. - Phantoms netminder John Grahame made 28 saves to out-duel Admirals goaltender Jaroslav Janus as the Norfolk Admirals (17-23-2-0) fell to the Adirondack Phantoms (20-18-2-0) 3-1 in front of 6,582 fans at Norfolk Scope Arena on Saturday night. The season-high crowd witnessed the third annual Pink in the Rink game to benefit the Tidewater Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Following the all-star break, the Admirals will embark on a seven-game road trip through the Northeast and will return to Scope on Wednesday, February 3 to face the Hershey Bears.

The better part of the first two periods was spent with Grahame and Janus one-upping each other with highlight-reel saves. The Admirals broke through with the game's first goal 18:05 into the second period on a power play. Mark Parrish sent a backhand pass from the left corner to the slot. Ryan Craig collected the pass and sent a shot through the legs of Grahame at 18:05 for his fourteenth goal of the season.

The Phantoms tied the game at 1-1 just 3:18 into the third period. Ryan Dingle checked an Admirals defender in the corner to the right of Janus and stole the puck. He sent a backhand shot that squeezed into the net through the post and right leg of Janus.

Adirondack took a 2-1 lead just over three minutes later. Andreas Nodl sent a shot through traffic from the left point that bounced off Janus and caromed into the left circle. Rob Bellamy one-timed the rebound past Janus' blocker at 6:20.

Krys Kolanos iced the game for the Phantoms with an empty-net goal scored at 19:07.
