
Petersen Leads Hitmen to 2-0 Shutout Win

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen blanked the Edmonton Oil Kings 2-0 on Sunday afternoon in the franchise's first-ever pre-season game at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
After a scoreless first period, Carsen Twarynski put the Hitmen on the board in the second while Lucas Cullen found the back of the net in the third.
Lasse Petersen recorded the win with a 17-save performance as Calgary remains undefeated through five pre-season contests.
The Hitmen complete their seven-game exhibition schedule next weekend with a pair of games at the Crowsnest Pass Tournament. On Friday, Sept. 18 Calgary will meet the Lethbridge Hurricanes before facing the Kootenay ICE on Saturday, Sept. 19. Both games will be played at the Crowsnest Sports Complex in Coleman.
Calgary will then open the 2015-16 WHL regular season with a home-and-home series against the ICE. The divisional rivals will meet on Friday, September 25 in Cranbrook before returning to the Scotiabank Saddledome for the Adrenalin Source For Sports Home Opener on Saturday, September 26. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
