Perry returns to Nailers

WHEELING, WV – The Wheeling Nailers announce today that the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have returned defensemen Randy Perry, and have recalled defensemen Drew Fata and goaltender Andy Chiodo.

Perry, 28, was recalled from the Nailers on November 30th and will return to the Nailers line up tomorrow night in Atlantic City. In 16 games with the Nailers this season, Perry has recorded four assists, and 12 penalty minutes.

Fata, 22, was reassigned to the Nailers on November 30th and recorded one assist and 22 penalty minutes in three games. In 13 games with the Penguins this season, he is scoreless with 34 penalty minutes. The 6'1", 209-pound native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round (86th overall) of the 2001 Entry Draft.

Chiodo, 21, was reassigned to the Nailers on November 30th and appeared in two games, posting a 1-1-0 record and a 1.94 goals against average. In nine games with the Penguins this season, Chiodo has a 2-5-1 record with a 3.29 goals against average and one shutout. The 5'11", 194-pound native of Toronto, Ontario was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the seventh round (199th overall) of the 2003 Entry Draft.

The Nailers will travel to Atlantic City tonight to face the Boardwalk Bullies for a 7:05 face-off on Wednesday night, before returning home on December 10th to play Atlantic City on Awful Night.
