
Peoria Residents Get Discounted Tickets Memorial Day Weekend

PEORIA, IL - The Peoria Chiefs have announced that as a thank you to the city of Peoria and its residents for continuing to support Midwest League baseball and the organization, all Club Box tickets for May 24-27 will be half price ($5.00 on May 24-26 and $2.50 on May 27).
To get the discounted tickets for any of the four games during Memorial Day weekend, Peoria residents need to bring a driver's license, ID card or proof of residence to the Peoria Chiefs Stadium Box Office. The discount is not available online. Fans can purchase tickets in advance or on the day of the game. The box office is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on non-game day and from 10:00 a.m. until the seventh inning on game days.
The Memorial Day weekend kicks off with a Friday night game on May 24 that features an appearance by 1980s Cardinals star Jack Clark, a Flat Screen Friday with at least six flat screen giveaways, 25 cent hot dogs and the Chiefs take on the Cubs affiliate from Kane County at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday May 25 the Chiefs host the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at 6:30 p.m. and features a post-game Fireworks show along with First Responders Night, Military Appreciation Weekend and a Pitch-In For Charity Tennis Ball Toss to benefit Lifeline Pilots.
Sunday May 26 is a unique Sunday evening game with Fireworks and a 6:30 p.m. start. All kids 12 and under get in free and also get a coupon for free ice cream from Sonic as part of the Sonic SuperKids Sunday promotion. The first 1500 fans get a Chiefs player poster giveaway presented by PJStar.com and fans can play catch on the field before the game while Chiefs players sign autographs.
The series and homestand ends on Memorial Day with a 1:00 p.m. start against Wisconsin. Since tickets are already half price on Monday's, Peoria residents get another half price discount for May 27 with $2.50 Club Box tickets.
