
Chiefs/Captains Suspended by Rain Thursday

Peoria, IL - The Peoria Chiefs and the Lake County Captains were suspended by rain in the bottom of the eighth inning on Thursday night with the Captains leading 3-2 with no outs, Alex Mejia on first base and a 3-0 count on Jacob Wilson. The game will be resumed Friday at 11:00 a.m. and will be followed by the regularly scheduled game. There will be approximately 30 minutes between games.
The Chiefs are scheduled to start RH Kurt Heyer (1-0, 1.62) in the second game against Captains RH Dylan Baker (0-2, 4.95). The broadcast can be heard, starting with the pre-game show at 10:45 a.m. on www.peoriachiefs.com/listenlive which also has downloads for a free app on the iPhone, iPad, Blackberry and Android.
