UTICA, N.Y. - Peter Andersson and Pascal Pelletier handled the scoring, while Joacim Eriksson stopped all 27 shots he faces, as the Utica Comets posted a 2-0 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in both teams' regular season finales.

The Penguins used the game to get a look at some of their future regulars, with three players (goaltender Matt Murray, center Jean-Sebastien Dea, and left wing Scott Wilson) all making their pro debuts on the night. Two other Pens (Bryan Rust and Conor Sheary) were appearing in just their second games with the club.

Andersson opened the scoring 7:18 into the game with a slap shot from the point that beat the Murray, the rookie netminder who recently completed his third season with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

Pelletier picked up his 22nd goal of the season, a power play tally early in the third period.

Murray made 23 saves in his debut.

The loss saw the Pens record against Utica fall to 1-2-0-1 on the season. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton finished its 15th regular season with a 42-26-3-5 record, good for 92 points and second place in the East Division.

Penguins playoff ticket packages are on sale now by calling the Penguins at 570-208-7367.
