
Admirals to Face Manchester in Opening Round Series of 2014 Calder Cup Playoffs

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals will open the 2014 Calder Cup Playoffs with a best-of-five Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series against the Manchester Monarchs on Friday, April 25th, at Verizon Wireless Arena. The series shifts to Norfolk Scope Arena on Wednesday, April 30th.
The Admirals closed out the regular season winning six of their last 10 games (6-3-1-0), posting a 40-26-3-7 regular season record for 90 points to claim the #8 seed in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. The Manchester Monarchs finished the regular season with a 48-19-3-6 record, good for 105 points and the top seed in the Eastern Conference. Norfolk and Manchester met four times in the 2013-14 regular season with each team winning its two home games.
Calder Cup Playoff hockey returns to Norfolk Scope Arena for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Wednesday, April 30th. If necessary, Games 4 and 5 will also be played at Norfolk Scope Arena on Friday and Saturday, May 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

Individual playoff tickets will go on sale on Wednesday, April 23rd, at the Scope Box Office, Ticketmaster Outlets, charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 or at ticketmaster.com. Individual ticket prices for the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs are $23.00 for Gold, $20.00 for Red and $18.00 for White. Fans receive a discount when purchasing playoff tickets in advance of the day of the game. When bought in advance, Gold tickets are $19.50, Red are $16.50 and White are $14.50. In addition, 10-seat corporate boxes are available by contacting the Admirals at (757) 640-1212. The Scope Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m., or 10:00 a.m. through game time on Admirals game days.
