CHARLESTON, SC - Augusta's Francisco Peguero lined a walk off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth that handed the GreenJackets a 1-0 triumph over the RiverDogs in South Atlantic League action Wednesday night in front of 1,542 fans at Augusta's Lake Olmstead Stadium.
With the victory, the GreenJackets capture the first two games of the series and lift their second half record to 23-16 (58-50 overall) while the RiverDogs drop to 15-24 in the second half (54-55 overall).
Held scoreless into the bottom of the ninth, the GreenJackets seized the 1-0 win when Vladmir Frias drew a leadoff walk and sprinted to third on Juan Perez's single to center. Peguero smacked a single to right that plated Frias for the game-winning run.
