
Patterson reaches 500 points

HUNTSVILLE, AL - James Patterson recorded four assists this past weekend giving him 500 points in his six-year professional career. He reached the 200-goals scored mark earlier this season.
Patterson leads the Havoc with 69 points, 28 goals and 41 assists. He is tied for third in the SPHL in points, tied for seventh in goals scored, seventh in assists and tied for third in game-winning goals with six.
Patterson was named the South East Hockey League Player of the Year last season after leading the Huntsville Channel Cats to the league championship. He scored 45 goals and had 74 assists in the regular season and added two goals and three assists in three playoff games. He was named the Central Hockey League Rookie of the Year in 1999-00 as a member of the Channel Cats when he scored 34 goals and had 25 assists. He has scored 256 career points in a Huntsville uniform.
The Wayne, Michigan native now makes his home in Huntsville.
