Fayetteville 5, Huntsville 4 - Thursday, March 10
HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Fayetteville Fire Antz scored two straight goals after the Huntsville Havoc tied the game at 3-3 and held on for 5-4 win Thursday night.
Mike Degurse scored two goals for Huntsville and Josh Liebenow and Aaron Lewis added one each. Brad McDonald had three assists while Jason deGeuhery, Liebenow, Derek McKinlay and Dan Buccella all had one.
Jamie Miller scored two goals for the Fire Antz while Jeff Mead, Jeff Coulter and Shawn Edwards all scored one. Chad Peck, Steve Roberts and Mike Fournier had two assists and Kory Baker had one. Fayetteville was 1-of-2 on the powerplay and Huntsville was 1-of-6.
Huntsville 2, Macon 6 - Friday, March 11
MACON, GA - Macon took a 4-2 lead into the third period and added two more goals in the third to grab a 6-2 win over Huntsville. Jason Simon and Mike Degurse scored goals for the Havoc while James Patterson, Josh Liebenow, Brad McDonald and Dan Buccella all had assists. David Deeves scored two goals for Macon in the win.
Huntsville 7, Winston-Salem 6 - Saturday, March 12
WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Josh Liebenow scored on a penalty shot with 3:04 left in overtime to give the Havoc a 7-6 win over the Winston-Salem Polar Twins. Doug Merrell and Mike Degurse both scored two goals for Huntsville and Liebenow, Jason Simon and Luke Phillips had one each. James Patterson had three assists, Degurse and Jeff Dams had two and Aaron Lewis, Liebenow and Merrell all had one each. Adam MacLean got his third win of the season for the Havoc.
