Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Saskatchewan - Today the Regina Pats Hockey Club announced plans to host a Home Opener Tailgate ahead of their Saturday, October 2 match up with the Prince Albert Raiders slated for 1 p.m.
Game ticket holders are invited to Confederation Park from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a complimentary breakfast sandwich and socially-distanced activities. Beverages will be on sale. The first 250 fans also receive a free raffle entry for a chance to win a new third Bedard jersey, additional tickets are available for purchase. On the way in, fans can get a professional photo snapped in front of the Pats newly wrapped March On bus.
"We're excited to welcome back hockey fans to the Brandt Centre. What's a better way to do it than with an outdoor tailgate with free food? Getting to the game early also helps make entering the facility even smoother with the additional screening steps in place," said Pats Chief Operating Officer, Trevor Buhnai.
Fans can enjoy a live DJ and outdoor games while they get game day ready with pre-screening verification right in the park, allowing them to by-pass the immunization and negative test screening line inside the Brandt Centre. New Pats face masks will be available at a 33% discount.
"Safety is our top priority and we've designed the event with that in mind," adds Buhnai. The park will be kept at half-capacity to allow for social distancing. Food and beverage service will be contactless and fans are encouraged to make payment electronically. Sanitizer stations will be available throughout the park. All event staff will be masked, attendees are encouraged to do the same when moving throughout the park and interacting with others.
Doors to the Brandt Centre open at noon. Additional entry information is available here. For more information on the Pats Home Opener Tailgate, visit reginapats.com.
