Pats Host Hurricanes on Family Day

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats host the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Monday at 2:00 p.m. for their Family Day contest inside the Brandt Centre.

The Pats are coming off a 7-4loss to the CHL's number one ranked Winnipeg ICE on Saturday. The Pats had a 1-0 lead after one and a 3-2 lead after two before the ICE completed the comeback with four unanswered goals in the third period. Connor Bedard tallied three points (1G-2A), Brayden Barnett scored his first in 48 games and Sam Oremba tallied his seventh of the season in the loss. Kelton Pyne did all that he could to limit the Winnipeg offence, making 26 saves.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes won their second-straight game on Friday earning a 3-1 victory over the Brandon Wheat Kings at the ENMAX Centre. Blake Swetlikoff scored twice, including the game-winning goal, while Brayden Edwards added the other goal. Bryan Thomson made 30-saves in his fifth straight home start for the 'Canes. Lethbridge was outshot 31-25 in the game. The Hurricanes went 0-4 on the power play while going 3-4 on the penalty kill. Lethbridge improved to 2-0-0-1 in their last three games with the win.
