
Pats Host Blades for Game Four, Seeking Redemption

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats host the Saskatoon Blades in game four of this first-round series at 7:00 p.m. inside the Brandt Centre on Wednesday.
The Pats look to get back into the win column and take a 3-1 series tonight in game four. The Pats are coming off a difficult 4-3 overtime loss last night in game three, as the Pats drop their first game of the series.
The Pats held a 2-1 lead after one and two periods of play before extending their lead to 3-1 in the third period. The Blades would score twice in the third, with the tying goal coming from Brandon Lisowsky with less than 30 seconds to play in the contest. Egor Sidorov's second of the game would give the Blades the overtime win to get back into the series. Ethan Chadwick grabbed the win, allowing three goals on 24 shots.
Connor Bedard continued his torrid play this post-season, collecting three points (1G-2A), giving him 11 points in three playoff games. Stanislav Svozil (1G-1A) scored for a third straight game, while Alexander Suzdalev also chipped in with a goal and an assist. Drew Sim was specular in net, making 33 saves, including a pair of highlight stops.

HEADLINES
Connor Bedard swept the WHL awards on Monday, being named the league's Player of the Week after eight points (5G-3A) in two playoff games. He was also named the March Player of the Month, scoring 32 points (19G-13A) over his 13 regular season and playoff appearances.
The Pats big three has produced in the post-season thus far, as Bedard leads the team in scoring with six goals and 11 points...right behind him is Alexander Suzdalev and Stanislav Svozil who have each recorded six points, with Svozil scoring in three straight games.
BY THE NUMBERS
143: Points (71G-72A) in 57 games for captain Connor Bedard led the WHL...since having his 35-game point-streak end on Feb. 3, he recorded 53 points (27G-26A) over his last 20 games, with points in 17 of those...this post-season, he's gathered 11 points (6G-5A) in three games.
71: Goals in the 2022-23 season for Bedard led the WHL, while his 72 assists were tied for first...he also led the way in shots on goal (360), points per-game (2.51), goals per-game (1.24), and finished tied for first in game-winning-goals with 11.
