Saskatoon Blades News Release
WE'VE GOT A SERIES: One down, three to go.
Forward Egor Sidorov scored two goals, including the game-winner, to lift the Saskatoon Blades to a 4-3 overtime victory against the Regina Pats at the Brandt Centre.
Saskatoon gets their first win of the first-round series now only trailing 2-1.
It was the most important game of the season for Saskatoon thus far who were trailing in the third period 3-1 before Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Brandon Lisowsky tied the game with 27-seconds left in regulation. The big guns came to play for Saskatoon as Sidorov earned third star of the night with his performance, while alternate captain Trevor Wong got back to his playmaking ways with three helpers.
The victory guarantees a Game 5 on home-ice Friday, Apr. 7th but the Blades need to focus on Game 4 tomorrow night on the road and take the series back to SaskTel Centre even at 2-2.
NEXT GAME: The Blades look to build off the massive comeback Wednesday night at the Brandt Centre for Game 4, and head back to SaskTel Centre Friday with a tie series.
Puck drop for Wednesday's game is 7:00pm.
