Saskatoon Blades News Release
ALL TIED UP: Hockey fans are getting their money's worth in this series.
For the second consecutive night at the Brandt Centre the Saskatoon Blades erased a two-goal deficit in the third period before winning 4-3 in overtime Wednesday, tying their best-of-seven first-round series against the Regina Pats 2-2.
It's the third straight game that's gone beyond 60-minutes of play, the Blades winning the latest two on the road by the same score.
Edmonton Oilers prospect Jake Chiasson was the hero Wednesday for the Blue and Gold scoring his first of the series in the extra frame. The 19-year-old from Abbotsford, BC. had an assist on Brandon Lisowsky's game-tying goal in Game 3 with 27-seconds left in the game and came through even bigger in Game 4.
Neither team has taken advantage of home-ice with the road team going 4-0 in this series. Regina took games 1 and 2 on the road including a 6-5 overtime win in Game 2 and Saskatoon answered back in the Queen City.
It's a monumental win for the Blades who went on the road trailing in the series and head back home for Game 5 Friday beginning a new best-of-three series.
NEXT GAME: The Blades will try and secure their first series lead when they welcome the Pats to SaskTel Centre Friday for Game 5.
Upperbowl tickets are already selling like crazy so make sure you get some before you miss out!
Puck drop is 7:00pm.
