Mark Lamb Named BC Division Coach of the Year ; Nominated for WHL Coach of the Year

KENNEWICK, WA - The Prince George Cougars are excited to learn that General Manager & Head Coach Mark Lamb has been named the BC Division's Coach of the Year and has been named a finalist for the Dunc McCallum Memorial Trophy for WHL Coach of the Year.

In his five seasons as the Cougars bench boss, the 2022-23 season has been Lamb's most successful one posting a 37-24-6-1 record and locking up 4th spot in the Western Conference. The 2022-23 season marks the fifth best regular season in the Cougars' 29 years as a franchise. Lamb's power-play was a major factor in the Cougar success this season, sporting the league's second-best man advantage at 27.7%. Lamb also had some key acquisitions prior and during the 2022-23 season with the likes of Chase Wheatcroft, Cole Dubinsky, Jaxsen Wiebe, and Zac Funk.

Lamb and the Cats are looking to get their best-of-seven series tied at 2 as they take on the Tri-City Americans in Game 4 of their best-of-seven series in Kennewick, WA. Puck drop is slated for 7:05 PM at the Toyota Centre.
