Patriots Crush Barnstormers 8-0

Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots defeated the Lancaster Barnstormers 8-0 in front of 5,511 fans at TD Bank Ballpark in game two of the double header on Wednesday night.

The Patriots jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Jake Fox and Josh Kroeger had RBI singles to start the scoring. Adam Donachie cleared the bases with a three-run double and later scored on an RBI single by Bobby Stevens.

Donachie plated another run in the bottom of the third inning with an RBI single.

Somerset added their final run in the bottom of the fourth inning on a sacrifice fly by Corey Smith that made the score 8-0.

Patriots starter Graham Taylor (3-1) went the full seven and struck out seven for the win. Lancaster starter Lenny DiNardo (3-4) suffered the loss, allowing seven runs on ten hits in three innings of work.
