BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Nov. 18, 2013) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced that they have recalled goaltender Parker Milner from the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL.

Milner signed a two-way (AHL/ECHL) deal with the Sound Tigers on Aug. 2 before being assigned to the Thunder following Sound Tigers training camp. In five games with the Thunder, Milner went 1-4-0 with a 3.22 GAA and a .902 SV%.

Milner attended Boston College and was a member of two national championship teams with the Eagles. He appeared in 14 games as a freshman on the 2010 national championship team before posting a 1.66 GAA in 34 games as a junior in 2011-12. That season, he allowed just two goals in four NCAA Tournament games to help lead Boston College to the title. With Milner and Kenny Reiter (University of Minnesota-Duluth), both of the Sound Tigers goaltenders have won NCAA championships.

Milner also has ties to the state of Connecticut. In 2007-08, he went 11-0-0 with a 1.92 GAA and .935 SV% to lead Avon Old Farms to 2008 New England Prep School title.

The Sound Tigers will play in Providence Friday and Worcester Saturday before returning home for a 3 p.m. game on Sunday against the St. John's IceCaps.
