Panthers Summon Michal Repik to South Florida

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has recalled RW Michal Repik from the Rochester Americans (AHL). Repik becomes the fourth Amerk currently with the Panthers, joining defenseman Keaton Ellerby and forwards Evgeny Dadonov and Scott Timmins.

Repik, 22, has played in eight games with the Panthers this season recording one goal with one assist and four PIM. For his career in the National Hockey League, he has played in 32 NHL contests, all with Florida (2008-2011), registering nine points (6-3-9) and 12 PIM. He has played in 44 games with Rochester this year recording 40 points (8-32-40) and 36 PIM. Repik's 32 assists place him tied for seventh among American Hockey League leaders.

The Vlasim, Czech Republic native was drafted by Florida with their second choice (40th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
