Padres Still Ice Cold, Drop 10th Straight

The Reno Aces fell behind by three runs early but came back to beat the Tucson Padres Saturday, 9-4. The Padres have lost 10 consecutive games and have dropped 17 of their last 19 contests. A.J. Pollock went 3-for-5 with a two-run triple and two singles for Reno. Aces starter Patrick Corbin pitched 6.1 innings and allowed three earned runs. Sam Demel and Taylor Sinclair completed scoreless outings out of Reno's bullpen to close the game.

The Padres scored twice in the first inning on a two-run single by Jedd Gyorko. The T-Pads took a 3-0 lead in the third when Matt Clark hit a double off the left field wall. Matt Palmer was able to leave the bases loaded in the third inning, but did surrender one Aces run in the rally. Reno pushed ahead with three runs, all with two outs, in the fifth inning. The Aces never relinquinshed the lead after the fifth and won their ninth game in ten tries.

San Diego Padres infielder Andy Parrino went 3-for-4 in the second game of his injury rehab assignment. Parrino is with Tucson working his way back from a wrist injury. The Aces had two Arizona Diamondbacks in their starting lineup on injury rehab - Stephen Drew (ankle) and Geoff Blum (oblique).
