Join former Auburn University Wide Receiver Frank Sanders and University of Alabama Cornerback Antonio Langham on Saturday, August 15th for the 6th Annual Auburn / Alabama Night presented by WLWI & 95.1 The FOX at Riverwalk Stadium.
Frank Sanders was an All-American Wide Receiver in 1994, the same year he led the Auburn Tigers to a shocking upset of the then #1 Florida Gators. He also caught the game-winning touchdown pass with 30 seconds left to propel the Tigers. People still talk about " Nix to Sanders" today, as it was one of Auburns greatest wins.
Antonio Langham was a two-time All American and All-SEC Player from 1992-1993. In the 1992 SEC Championship game, Langham won MVP as he returned the winning touchdown in the Tide's 28-21 victory against the Gators. Langham played an instrumental role in Alabama winning the 1992 National Championship and is the only Tide player to win the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the nation's best defensive back.
The rivalry continues with Sanders and Langham leading Tiger and Tide fans in the WSFA Fan Face Off. Stepping in, as their co-captains will be none other than school mascots Aubie & Big AL. The school that packs the most fans in Riverwalk Stadium, wearing their school colors on August 15th, will WIN the competition and obtain bragging rights until next years WSFA Fan Face Off.
