P-Bruins Receive Five from Boston

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins, entering their 20th season in the American Hockey League, today announced that the Boston Bruins have assigned five players to Providence.

Forward Jamie Arniel, defensemen Colby Cohen, Zach McKelvie, and David Warsofsky and goaltender Michael Hutchinson will report to Providence's training camp.

Forwards Zach Hamill and Trent Whitfield will be placed on waivers for purpose of assignment to Providence.

The P-Bruins opened training camp on Tuesday and it will run through Thursday, October 6, with sessions to be held at the Dunkin' Donuts Center and Rhode Island Sports Center. Please note that only training camp practices held at the Rhode Island Sports Center are open to the public.

Providence will serve as the host team in one of its two preseason games as the club takes on the Springfield Falcons at the New England Sports Center on Friday, September 30 in Marlborough, Massachusetts. For information about tickets for the 7:05 tilt, please contact the New England Sports Center at (508) 229-2700. The P-Bruins wrap up their preseason action when the club travels to Springfield the following night to take on the Falcons at the MassMutual Center at 7:00 p.m.

Providence opens the regular season at the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Friday, October 7 in a 7:05 tilt against the St. John's IceCaps. Providence Bruins season tickets and Flex Tix packages are on sale now for the 2011-12 season.
