Montreal Assigns Three Players to Hamilton

MONTREAL (September 27, 2011) - The Montreal Canadiens announced that three players have been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs. The 'Dogs also announced that five players have been invited to training camp on a tryout basis. The Bulldogs open their 2011 training camp today at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard, Quebec.

Forwards Philippe Lefebvre, Alain Berger and Brock Trotter have been assigned to the Bulldogs from the Canadiens. The 'Dogs have invited forwards Philip DeSimone and Ben Winnett and defencemen Olivier Dame-Malka, Tony DeHart and Josh McFadden to training camp on a tryout basis.

The 'Dogs first on-ice session will begin today at 10:30 a.m. at the Bell Sports Complex. Hamilton will also practice on Wednesday, September 28th and Thursday, September 29th at the Bell Sports Complex at 10:30 a.m. The team will have a morning skate at 10:00 a.m. at Bell Sports Complex on Friday, September 30th in preparation for their 7:30 p.m. pre-season game against the Binghamton Senators that evening at the Colisee Desjardins in Victoriaville, Quebec. On Saturday, October 1st the 'Dogs will once again battle the B-Sens in a 7:00 p.m. match-up at Centre Marcel-Dionne in Drummondville, Quebec.

There are still 40 players at Montreal's camp, including ten players sidelined due to injuries: Andrei Markov, Hunter Bishop, Brendon Nash, David Desharnais, Lars Eller, Olivier Fortier, Louis Leblanc, Joonas Nattinen, Ryan White and Ian Schultz.

The Bulldogs will open their 2011-2012 season at home on Saturday, October 8th at 7:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum against the Rochester Americans.
