
Columbus Blue Jackets Trim Training Camp Roster by Seven Players

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets trimmed their roster by seven players, Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Scott Howson announced today. The current training camp roster consists of 33 players (list includes four injured players). The complete Training Camp roster is attached in PDF format.
Defenseman Cody Goloubef and goaltender Allen York were assigned to the Springfield Falcons, Columbus's American Hockey League affiliate, while forwards Cody Bass, Dane Byers, Nick Drazenovic and Andrew Joudrey were placed on waivers for the purposes of being assigned to Springfield. In addition, goaltender Paul Dainton was released from his tryout contract (has AHL contract with Springfield).
Training Camp, presented by OhioHealth, continues on Wednesday with one practice set for 10:30 a.m. at Nationwide Arena. Practice is free and open to the public.
The Blue Jackets continue preseason action Thursday when the club hosts the Minnesota Wild. Game time from Nationwide Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET. The game can be heard on the Wheeling Island Hotel & Casino Blue Jackets Radio Network on 1460 ESPN and online at BlueJackets.com.
