P-Bruins Fall To Pirates 4-0

Providence, RI - The Providence Bruins fell to the Portland Pirates 4-0 Sunday afternoon at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The P-Bruins return home to the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday at 7:05 p.m. for Jeff Penner Poster Night against the Adirondack Phantoms.

The Pirates took a 1-0 advantage at the 8:10 mark of the opening period. Mark Mancari tallied his 14th goal of the season, while Tyler Ennis and Mike Kostka recorded the assists. The Pirates led 1-0 going into the first intermission.

The Pirates made it 2-0 at the 17:39 mark of the second period. Marc-Andre Gragnani netted his fourth goal of the season, while Ennis and Mancari picked up the assists. Portland led 2-0 going into the second intermission.

Portland went ahead 3-0 at the 9:13 mark of the third period, while on the power play. Ennis scored his 12th goal of the season, with Nathan Gerbe and Gragnani grabbing the assists. The Pirates made it 4-0 at the 11:58 mark. Matt Generous tallied his second goal of the season, while Mancari and Gerbe had the assists. Portland went on to the 4-0 victory.

Kevin Regan stopped 24 of 28 shots for the P-Bruins, while Jhonas Enroth made 39 saves for the Pirates. The P-Bruins were 0-for-5 on the power play and 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.

Providence returns to action at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday at 7:05 p.m. for Poster Night against the Phantoms. The P-Bruins hit the road Saturday versus the Worcester Sharks at 7:05 p.m. Providence wraps up the week at The Dunk Sunday at 4:05 p.m. for Jumbo Card Night against the Hartford Wolf Pack.
