P-Bruins fall in Manchester

The Providence Bruins saw their four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1-0) come to an end on Saturday night in Manchester, NH, as they fell to the Monarchs, 7-0. The Bruins are 10-7-4-0 (24 points), putting them in third place in the Atlantic Division, one point behind the Monarchs. The Bruins return home to host the Albany River Rats on Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m. Providence has won a season-high four straight on home ice, and are on a season-high six-game home unbeaten streak (5-0-1-0).

Providence goaltender Tim Thomas played the first period, stopping 10 of the 14 shots he faced. Hannu Toivonen played the second and third periods, stopping 12 of the 15 shots he saw.
