
Owlz Rally to Beat Raptors 9-6

The Owlz rallied back after being down four runs to win game three of the series, 9-6, against the Ogden Raptors Friday night.
The Owlz jumped out to an early two run lead after scoring in back-to-back innings. In the first inning with two outs Michael Strentz scored on a single to shallow centerfield by Fran Whitten. Then in the second inning Michael Hermosillo led off the inning with a walk. Later in the inning he scored when Andrew Daniel singled to centerfield.
Ogden scored four runs, including a two-run home run by Hunter Redman, in the third inning to take the lead. Caleb Adams got the Owlz out of the inning with a diving catch on a ball hit softly to right field.
The Raptors added two more runs to their lead in the fourth inning.
The Owlz came back with a huge fifth inning rally to take the lead. With two outs Orem rallied back when Whitten walked to get on base. A double by Natanael Delgado put both runners in scoring position. A fly ball hit deep to left field by Hermosillo was dropped by the fielder, Andrew Godbold, scoring Whitten and Delgado. A single by RJ Santigate brought in Hermosillio and then Santigate scored on a throwing error by the catcher to cap off the rally.
In the sixth and seventh innings the Owlz added three more runs to their lead.
Angel Guerra got the start from the mound and pitched four innings. Justin Anderson got his first win of the season, pitching three innings and striking out three batters. Jonah Wesley entered the game in the eighth inning and earned his second save of the season.
Santigate was 3-for-3 on the night, which included a walk and an RBI. Daniel went 3-for-5 and drove in two runs.
The Owlz will finish up the four game series with the Ogden Raptors Saturday night. That game will be played at 7:05 at Smith's Ballpark in Salt Lake City, Utah in the first I-15 Classic.
