
Helena Uses Huge Sixth Inning to Down Missoula

MISSOULA, Mont. - In what began as a tight contest, the Helena Brewers pulled away with eight runs in the sixth inning to end Missoula's four-game win streak with a 10-1 decision. Missoula's lone run of the night came on a Tyler Baker solo bomb in the fifth inning.
Gabriel Moya (2-4) started out on fire but lost control in the sixth inning and left with a final line of 5.1 innings, nine hits, five earned runs, and four strikeouts. Jency Solis was roughed up for four runs off four hits in one-third of an inning in relief. In total, Helena had fourteen hits off five Missoula (4-3, 21-24) pitchers.
Sthervin Matos and Tucker Neuhaus each had three hits for the visitors while the nine-hole batter Dionis Hinojosa drove in three on the night.
Helena (3-4, 16-29) starter J.B. Kole (1-2) went five innings in the win and gave up five hits and one run with a walk and a strikeout. Josh Uhen went three innings with three punch outs and one hit allowed while Donnie Hissa retired the side in the ninth for the Brewers.
Sergio Alcantara was the lone Osprey to reach multiple hits. Justin Williams had an eight inning single to extend his hitting streak to 28 games and received a standing ovation from the crowd after Audo Vicente called for a pinch runner.
