
Otters Seek Series Win vs. Greys

(EVANSVILLE, INDIANA) - The Evansville Otters (23-16) close a three-game series and nine-game homestand on Thursday when they play the Frontier Greys (10-31).
First pitch is set for 6:35 pm CDT at historic Bosse Field in Evansville, Indiana.
It is Edward Jones night with a postgame fireworks extravaganza. Fans can also enjoy Budweiser Thirsty Thursday at Bosse Field with 16 ounce drafts for $2 and 32 ounce drafts for $4.
Fans wishing to purchase tickets for the game can call the Otters box office at 812-435-8686. Reserve seats are $9 and general admission tickets are $6.
Fans not going to the game can listen live on WUEV 91.5 FM and WUEV.org . Play by play announcer Mike Radomski and color commentator Bill McKeon will have the call beginning at 6:15 pm CDT.
The Otters and Greys split a doubleheader yesterday with Evansville winning the first game 5-4 but losing the final game 2-1. Outfielder Chris Sweeney had a home run and four RBIs on the night as first baseman Jeremy Nowak won the first game with a walk-off single.
Evansville is 7-4 all time against the Frontier Greys, including a 3-2 record this season. Evansville lost the first meeting of the season against the Greys before rebounding to win games on May 23 and May 24 to win the series.
First baseman Nik Balog has hit safely in five straight games. Outfielder J.R. Higley and infielder Shayne Houck are on a four game hitting streak
The Otters are 5-2 on the current homestand.
The Otters will have USI alum, righthander Taylor Dennis (0-0, 8.38 ERA) on the mound tonight against Frontier Greys LHP Jacob Liedka (0-1, 6.38).
