Otters Host Traverse City in Doubleheader on Wednesday

(EVANSVILLE, INDIANA) - The Evansville Otters (26-17) begin a three-game mid-week series with a doubleheader against the Traverse City Beach Bums (18-27) on Wednesday night.

First pitch is set for 5:35 pm CDT at historic Bosse Field in Evansville, Indiana with two games scheduled for seven innings each.

Fans wishing to purchase tickets for the game can call the Otters box office at 812-435-8686. Reserve seats are $9 and general admission tickets are $6.

Fans not going to the game can listen live on WUEV 91.5 FM and WUEV.org . Play by play announcer Mike Radomski and color commentator Bill McKeon will have the call beginning at 5:15 pm CDT.

Today's doubleheader is sponsored by Carson's Brewery. It is also $1 hot dog night at the ballpark.

The pitching matchup in game one will feature Otters left-hander Chad James (3-2, 5.95 ERA) against Beach Bums lefty Alex Phillips (0-4, 3.86). Evansville will have RHP Taylor Dennis (0-0, 6.32 ERA) on the mound in game two when he will be opposed by Traverse City righty Tanner Tripp (1-3, 5.09 ERA).

The Otters are 19-32 all time against the Beach Bums. Evansville is 2-1 against Traverse City this season, winning the series at Wuerfel Park June 18-19.

Outfielder J.R. Higley is on a seven game hitting streak. Outfielder John Schultz has hit safely in four consecutive games.

The Otters are 14-8 at home this season and 8-4 in doubleheaders this summer.
