(JOLIET, ILLINOIS) - The Evansville Otters (25-16) continue a three-game weekend series at the Joliet Slammers (16-25) on Saturday night.

First pitch is set for 6:05 pm CDT at Silver Cross Field in Joliet, Illinois.

Fans not going to the game can listen live on WUEV 91.5 FM and WUEV.org . Play by play announcer Mike Radomski will have the call beginning at 5:45 pm CDT.

The Otters just completed a season-long nine game homestand with a 6-2 record (one rainout) and began their weekend trip at Joliet with a 5-4, 11 inning win on Friday evening. The Otters scored three runs in the ninth, allowed a run in the bottom half of the inning and won it with a solo home run from Chris Elder in the 11th.

Evansville is 11-8 all time against the Joliet Slammers, including a 5-1 mark last season. The Otters swept Joliet on the road in 2013.

First baseman Nik Balog has hit safely in seven straight games. Outfielders Chris Sweeney and J.R. Higley are each on a six game hitting streak. Infielder Shayne Houck has hit safely in five straight.

Evansville signed LHP Zach Fowler this morning and he will make his Otters debut this evening as the projected probable. Joliet will have RHP Kody McFarland (1-1, 4.81 ERA) throwing in tonight's contest.

An Evansville win and a Washington loss will create a tie between the Otters and Wild Things for first place in the Frontier League East Division.

With a win tonight, manager Andy McCauley will tie Joliet skipper Jeff Isom for eight most wins in Frontier League history (307).
