Evansville Otters News Release
Kalamazoo, MIâ The Evansville Otters feel behind double digits to the Kalamazoo Kings before scoring five runs in the eighth inning, but it wasn't enough as the Kings beat the Otters 12-7.
Evansville scored first in the second inning when with two outs, Carlos Brackley walked and stole second. O. J. Garza then singled home Brackley to give the Otters the edge.
The Kings pounced early and often after that, scoring one in the second, three in the third, two each in the fifth and sixth, capping it with four in the seventh, building a 12-2 lead.
The Otters rallied for five in the eighth, but it was not enough as Jake Brooks came in to shut the door.
Heath Heiberger goes tomorrow for Evansville. Heiberger is 3-4 with an ERA of 4.50. He will be opposed by David McWatters for the Kings.
